This parasol is the perfect size for our bistro table. The pulley system works effortlessly and the parasol is easy to erect and dismantle on your own. Being a tad lazy I left it outside all of August despite the instructions saying don't leave it out in the rain! and there was a little rust starting to form around the metal where the pole joins the parasol but otherwise it stood up to the elements very well. The rust did brush off. I agree with Yvonne regarding the base fixing but despite this I'm very pleased with it. A great looking parasol and good quality. (Posted on 19/09/2010)
We have used the parasols for the season in a windy, exposed environment near the sea in Worthing. They are good quality canopies, seagull droppings wash off easily! They are easy to use but our only concern, which we rectified quickly ourselves is that the wooden pole is easily damaged when inserted into the base and held in place with the tightened screw fixing. We placed a metal belt around the pole in the correct position to protect it otherwise the wind causes a strain on the pole and the wood becomes grazed. The bases are great, easy to move and attractive. (Posted on 31/08/2010)
