I absolutely love this parasol! It is well designed and constructed and easy to operate. It arrived promptly and came with clear instructions for assembly.
Unfortunately there we had a gale-force storm unexepectedly one night soon after I bought the parasol and the bottom section of the pole buckled. It was not the fault of the product itself but simply a freak storm. The base I had bought was so strong that the parasol could do nothing other than buckle!
When I rang to try and buy a replacement section, the staff were extremely helpful and even managed to find me a spare part free of charge.
I would highly recommend both the product and the company.

STURDI PLUS - 2.5m Round - Aluminium Garden Parasol - Crank & Tilt - Plain Navy & STURDI PLUS - 25kg Parasol Base With Telescopic Handle & Wheels - Granite - Dark Grey
First time we have used Parasols-Direct.CO.UK. Easy site to navigate and order from. Very impressed by delivery time as these products were delivered to north of Scotland - 4 business days.
Parasol is well made and both the crank and separate tilt mechanism feel reasonably robust. Found the parasol to be slightly to high compared to diameter but easy to cut 8" off the lower aluminium tube section. Parasol tube is 38mm but feels slightly flimsier than the item it replaced. Not a significant problem. Easy to remove parasol from frame if it needs to be washed. Also incl a winter storage bag in kit.
The granite base is excellent. Wheels and a retractable pull handle being the obvious solution for moving something of this weight. 38mm insert for base was perfect fit with the parasol tube. Also incl 32mm insert in kit. Base is actually more attractive than the photos on web page suggest.
